How to Get to the Venue

The Southbank Centre is accessible by many routes of transport.

Public Transport

Tube:

  • Waterloo (Northern, Bakerloo, Jubilee and Waterloo & City lines) is 200 metres away.
  • Embankment (District and Circle lines) is 600 metres away, over Hungerford Bridge.

Bus:

  • Routes 1, 59, 68, 76, 139, 172, 176, 188, 243, 341, N1, N68, N171, N343 and SL6 stop on Waterloo Bridge (100 metres away).
  • Routes 11, 76, 77, 381, C10 and N381 stop on York Road (500 metres away).

Train: The nearest train stations to the Southbank Centre are Waterloo, Waterloo East and Blackfriars on the south side of the River Thames, and Charing Cross on the north side. Check before you travel: nationalrail.co.uk

Boat:

  • River Bus services: take the River Bus RB1 route and alight at London Eye Waterloo Pier, which departs every 20 minutes on weekdays. River Buses are operated by Thames Clippers and accept Oyster cards. For more information: tfl.gov.uk

Bike: Our bicycle parking is located in Southbank Centre Square, off Belvedere Road. The nearest Cycle Hire stands can be found on Concert Hall Approach, over the road from Southbank Centre Square.

Car or Taxi: There is a drop-off on the slip road outside Southbank Centre Square. We encourage travel by public transport as parking in the local area is very restricted. Belvedere Road is closed to westbound traffic. To access our site by road, please approach via Chicheley Street and turn eastwards onto Belvedere Road.
